green teaGreen tea Where does the green tea originates from ? All teas come from the same plant: the Camellia Sinensis, whose origin is Chinese. It is therefore the environment, the ground, the altitude, the age of the harvest and the mode of transformation that modifies the appearance and the quality of the tea. Contrarily to other varieties (black tea, white, red, smoked…), the green tea does not undergo any transformation and therefore conserves all its virtues. ![]() Tea garden The multiple virtues and properties of the green tea Tea is the most consumed drink in the world after water. There are many varieties, but the green tea is the most known, with is delicate taste and its multiple virtues. Often used in Chinese medicine, bio green tea is the variety of tea that owns the most therapeutic properties. It has a simulating, tonic and exciting action. The quantity of theine (substance analogue to the caffeine) present in the green tea is very weak; its action is therefore less noxious than the coffee. The theine increases the vigilance and simulates the psychic activities. Tea leaves contain important quantities of antioxidant substances (polyphenols and flavonoid) which act against the free radicals and protect our cells against daily aggressions. These powerful antioxidant virtues allow us to fight naturally against tiredness and aging. Excellent for the health, green tea contains many minerals, (manganese, potassium, magnesium and fluorine), vitamins (C, B1, B2, B3 and P), Zinc, tannins, etc... A regular consumption of green tea decreases the risk cardio-vascular illnesses (prevention from infractus and thrombosis) cancers, particularly cancers which are induced by smoke (lungs, pancreas, mouth, oesophagus, larynx, kidney, bladder) and by bad food habits (colon, rectum, prostate, breast, ovary, endometer). cerebral vascular accidents
Green tea is consumed with a bit of hot water (refer to the indications on each bag). The hot water, while burning the leaves, will take off some of its properties. Consumed by infusion, traditionally in a cast-iron teapot, three cups of green tea every day are enough for you to benefit its virtues. While used externally, a bag of iced green tea can be applied on a shingles or herpes, or on the eyes to relax and attenuate the wrinkles. In a bath, it gives an agreeable feeling of well-being. In a hot infusion, iced for the summer or used for beauty, the green tea is to be consumed without moderation! What is an equitable and biologic tea ? Most of the green teas presented in the Original Taste section are purchased following international equitable trade regulations (Max Havelaar label) which ensure a decent purchase price for producers and contribute to the improvement of their life and work conditions. The quality of our teas is linked to the respect of the earth and of the people who work on her. Biologic, the green teas we are proposing are all uniquely perfumed with 100% biologic controlled aroma (Ecocert certification) and are presented in biodegradable bags. BIOLOGICAL AGRICULTURE : To be called « biologic », a product needs to have, from its production until its commercialization, followed and respected the specific rules of Biologic Agriculture: production, transformation, packaging, transport, distribution... each step follows a voluntary pattern and answers to means obligations. These obligations are defined by European regulations. Consuming bio products, means sustaining a durable and modern agriculture whose production techniques preserve the fertility of the ground (green fertilizers, cultures rotation), respect the environment and the animals (vital space, healthy alimentation) and preserve the biodiversity with less pesticides, less pollutants and no GMO use. To date, many studies put in evidence a superior quality of the biological products on the following points: - reduced tenure in nitrate and pesticides - superior nutritional value - weaker tenure in water - stronger tenure in dry components - better equilibrium of mineral elements and oligo-elements |
